Benevolence Team

From time to time, everyone will most likely face a difficult financial hardship. The Fellowship Dallas Benevolence Ministry wants to provide support and financial resources to those who, through various situations, are in a time of severe financial emergency.  If you feel that you are in need of help from our Benevolence Ministry, please download the Benevolence Documents and follow the instructions.  If you have strong financial, business acumen and people skills, please consider becoming a part of this ministry.  Contact our Care Network Director, Carol Ziegler, at  for more information about this ministry, including volunteering.

Hospital Visitation

The Hospital Visitation Team is a ministry that seeks to extend Christ's love, comfort, and compassion to those who have been hospitalized or housebound due to illness.  If you are in need of such ministry or know someone who is, please contact us.  If you would like to volunteer to serve in this minsitry, we are looking for people who desire to be a supportive presence as they provide a listening ear to those who experience the difficulties and challenges that come with illness. By walking alongside those who are hospitalized, our team members bless them with prayer, encouragement, and fellowship.  Contact if you have a hospital visitation need or for more information about volunteering.

 

Meal Team

Meal team members make and deliver meals for partners and families who are hospitalized or going through difficult times such as a hospitalization or a death.  Please contact for more information.

 

Funeral Team

The Funeral Care Team is here to assist when a Fellowship Dallas member passes away. Members assist family members by walking alongside during memorial service preparations.  Support for the day of the memorial service include greeters, guest sign-in book hosts, room set-up, and refreshment service.  Contact for more information.

 

Card Writing

The Card Writing Team is a unique ministry that desires to encourage and inspire those who have experienced life difficulties such as hospitalization, illness, loss, etc.  If you have strong writing or creative skills, please consider becoming a part of this ministry.  Contact for more information.

 

Hire Focus

Everyone will most likely face a career transition during their working life.  The Fellowship Dallas Career Transition Ministry wants to provide spiritual support, job search training, and sharing of job leads for unemployed people in our church and community.   If you are an experienced hiring manager, recruiter, or have made a successful career transition and have strong people skills, please consider this ministry.  For more information

 

Refugee Empowerment Pathway (REP)

The Refugee Empowerment Pathway is a 12-week class preparing refugee participants to be successful in their new world by helping them to register and enroll at Richland College, apply for special financial aid opportunities for refugees, and find cultural acceptance and acclamation in American small groups. Prayer Ministry

Prayer happens throughout the life of our church all the time, but here are some specific ways you can make prayer requests and/or get involved in praying at our church:

  • If you have prayer needs, you can email those to our prayer network at  and they will be distributed and prayed for.
  • We have Prayer Partners available to pray in person with you after our 9:30 and 11:00 a.m. Sunday morning Worship Services.  Contact Mary Beth Gaylor at for more information.
  • Our Men's Prayer Ministry meets at 9:00 AM on Sunday mornings to pray for the church, focusing on its leadership, staff needs, ministries, future plans and spiritual health of the body and leaders.  Contact Brian Soniat at for more information.
  • On the first Sunday of each month, a group meets to pray for our missionaries and our Global Initiatives.  Contact Global and Local Partnerships Pastor, Ryan Schwanke, at for more information.
  • Our staff meets every Tuesday morning from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. for a time of prayer.  If you are interested in participating, please contact our Executive Pastor, Tommy Shelton, at .
  • We have a Prayer Team that is part of our Care Network.  These prayer champions seek to extend Christ's love, comfort, and compassion to those who are in need of prayer.  They desire to be a supportive presence as they provide a listening ear to those who are experiencing difficulties and challenges.  Contact for more information.

All requests are kept confidential.  If you are a prayer warrior or simply love to pray for others, please consider becoming a part of this ministry.  Contact the appropriate above person who corresponds to the area(s) you are interested in. 

  

New Friends New Life

Volunteer opportunities to help women leaving the sex industry.  Options include education/employment advisers, budgeting advisers, grocery shopping and meal planning advisers, fellowship event planners, prayer partners, administrative help in the office, Home’s Tour Chairperson, Wednesday night guests to greet, provide meals, serve, clean-up, teach life skills, or work with the children.  Contact    for more information.

 

Pastoral Counseling

At Fellowship we provide short-term pastoral counseling to any regular attender of our church.  Knowing how difficult it can be to reach out for help in times of distress, we make every effort to provide timely and confidential assistance based on your need and counselor availability.  For further information, contact John Arellano at or 214-739-3881 (x131).

 

Food Pantry           

Weekly, bi-weekly or monthly help is needed in the pantry to meet neighbors and provide emergency food and toiletries.  Comfort in dealing with folks from all socio-economic groups is needed, as well as ability to pray with the hurting and provide encouragement for all.  Help is also needed one Saturday a month for the distribution of Angel Food.  This is the ultimate giving opportunity.  Contact  for more information.

 

Celebrate Recovery

Celebrate Recovery is a biblical program to help people overcome their hurts, habits, and hang-ups. This Christ-centered recovery ministry has been duplicated in more than 1000 churches across the nation.  Our CR transforming community meets on Thursday nights at 7:00pm in the Student Worship Center to deal with chemical, food, and life issues. Grief Recovery

If you have experienced the loss of a loved one over the past year, or are still grieving from a previous loss, come see the Grief Recovery group.  Grief Recovery operates on a 6 week rotation group, allowing for new members to join in when they feel the need. Mary Ellen Peter leads our Grief Recovery ministry and to find out more information, email Mary Ellen at or call (214) 762-0184.
