Ministry Overview
We believe that Jesus Christ established the church as the true hope for lasting change in the world. Dallas does not necessarily need more church buildings, professional Christians, or Sunday sermons, but Dallas does need more congregations of people who are passionate about reaching their communities with the transforming hope of the Gospel. At Fellowship, we are raising up dynamic pastors in order to help them launch healthy and vibrant churches here in Dallas and around the world.
Our History
As a former church planter, Gary Brandenburg came to Fellowship in 2004 with a passion for church planting, having launched four churches from his church in Tyler, TX. In 2007, Fellowship discovered that our location was perfect for reaching a younger, unchurched demographic, and so Metro was started as a congregation of Fellowship Dallas. In 2008, we helped one of our former staff members launch Koine Church in the downtown area of Dallas. In 2009, we started a year-long residency program in order to help equip 2 church planters to effectively begin new churches over the next year.
Launching Leaders & Churches
Today, Fellowship is a part of Vision 360 DFW, a network of churches committed to collaboratively planting churches in our city. We are intentional about developing the next generation of church leaders, and there are a variety of venues in which we do this including:
- Monthly Church Planter's Roundtable
- Weekly Ministry Roundtable for college and seminary students
- Ministry Internships for college and seminary students
- Year-long Church Planting Residency Program
- Quality Coaching for church planters
