Children's Ministry
The Children’s Ministry exists to partner with families to lead children in a growing relationship with Jesus Christ! It is our belief that parents have the best opportunity to influence a child’s faith in Jesus Christ. However, we also believe that other loving and caring adults are necessary for the success of a child’s faith development. We seek to provide children with a Sunday morning experience whereby they have a trusted and loving leader helping them believe the essential truths of the gospel, while they have opportunity to build relationships with other children seeking to know Christ.
Below, you will learn pertinent information about each of our ministries to children that are offered on Sunday morning. If you have further questions, please contact Kelly Hornsby, Director of Children's Ministry, at 972-852-4182 or .

Ages: Birth-23 months
In New Creations we focus on introducing children to God as creator. Our infants under 6 months of age hear about God through prayer as well as praise and worship music. Our infants over 6 months of age receive a story time where the days of creation are highlighted. They sing songs, see visuals, and play with manipulatives. Through the use of loving care and creative teaching these precious children are taught that God made everything.

Ages: 2-PreK
In the Ark we begin introducing the children to God’s redemptive plan through the use of a chronological curriculum that covers the major stories from Genesis through the life of Christ. Each Bible story revolves around the following four truth foundations:
God is in charge of everything, God loves us, Jesus died for our sin and rose from the dead, and God is good. The morning routine consists of small group, large group, snack, and structured play. Our preschoolers love seeing the Bible come to life through our beloved Bible story teller
Bible Story Bob and his trusty sidekicks
Big Pudding and Chicken.

Ages: K-3rd grade
As children grow so does their desire for knowing the deeper things of God. In the Treetop we focus on the chronological story of God’s redemptive plan with an added emphasis on deeper theological truths such as God, in three persons, is Holy and The church is a family. In addition, they will begin learning how to apply God’s truth to their life in practical ways. The format involves both a small group and large group time. Our large group time is filled with engaging worship and interactive Bible Story learning. The small group time will focus on interaction and reflection as well as games, crafts, or activities.

Ages:4-5th grade
In Route 45, our fourth and fifth graders also focus on a chronological study of the Bible with an added emphasis on the deeper theological truth that
The church is the body of Christ. In addition, they will begin learning how to apply God's truth to their life through personal discovery. Like the other areas the time is broken up between a large group and small group format. The large groups rotate depending on the week of the month and may include live worship, games, object lessons, and service projects. Our fourth and fifth graders are taught by a dedicated group of small group leaders who are invested in helping these children navigate the Bible and the transition of the preteen
years.
