Family Ministries
The Family Ministries Leadership Team seeks to direct the attention of homes upon the most important dynamic of life…a person’s relationship with Jesus Christ! 100 years from now the only thing that will matter is a person’s relationship with Christ. Our goal is to create vital partnerships between the home and the church in order to faithfully and effectively transfer the Gospel from generation to generation!
A few of the opportunities that exist at Fellowship Dallas to strengthen families are…
• KidLink (Children’s Ministry weekly parent resource)
• HomeFirst (Student Ministry weekly parent resource)
• Family Community Groups (Spring 2012) – register online to join a new group)
• Parenting Point (a seminar and discussion group experience for parents)
• Milestones: Child Dedication, Salvation and Baptism, Preparing for Adolescence, Commitment to Purity, and Rite of Passage and High School Graduation.
• Facebook Communications (become a friend at Fellowship Dallas Families)
• Home Point - Home Point is a ministry designed to equip the entire church body to be spiritually intentional and build faith at home. We invite you to explore the Home Point ministry center and see the wide range of resources available. A Home Point Host can direct you to materials to meet your specific interests and needs. We are also here to assist you with information regarding any church-based ministries. So please ask -- we’re here to help!

Community
FAMILY COMMUNITY GROUPS
Family Groups are life-stage groups that provide a community context for families to grow spiritually, connect deeply and live missionally. These groups are designed to provide a blend of family integration as well as parent-exclusive opportunities.
Family Community Groups are forming with families who have kids ages birth through 5th grade and meet every 2nd and 4th Sunday from 5:30pm - 7:30pm in Fellowship Hall. Family Community Group time includes a family meal, worship and child programming for children 3 years -5th grade and childcare for children 2 years and under. Click here to register for Family Community Groups. For additional information please contact Kathleen Horn at or 972-852-4181.
Parenting Point: Empowering families to lead the next generation in a growing relationship with Jesus Christ! Parenting Point is a gathering of parents (of children birth - 12th grade) in order to receive the tools and encouragement necessary to impact our children's lives in significant ways. Parenting Point will also allow parents the opportunity to build relationships with other parents at similar life stages. If you are a parent, you will not want to miss these exciting opportunities to be equipped and connected to other families! Check the church calendar for the next Parenting Point. For more information, please contact Kathleen Horn at , or by phone at 972-852-4181.
Milestones
Child Dedication: A Child Dedication is really a dedication of you as a parent. In dedicating your children you are saying that you commit to raise your children in such a way that they will know Christ, love Christ and grow in their relationship with Christ! You are committing to raise them in the Christian faith in order that they may become a part of the community of faith upon believing themselves! Child Dedications are held twice a year once in May (the Saturday before Mother's Day) and November (3rd Sunday).
Click here to Register for the next Child Dedication. We can accomodate up to 10 families per dedication. For additional information, please contact Kathleen Horn at or 972-852-4181.
Salvation and Baptism: As a parent, there are few things more exciting than when your child trusts that Jesus died for their sin and rose from the dead. We want to equip you to lead your child to a saving knowledge of Christ, and express that new faith through participation in a church-wide baptism celebration.
The Baptism celebration takes place in January, April, July and October. Parent Seminars are offered in the Fall and Spring. Click here to Register for the next Baptism.
Preparing for Adolescence: During this time of physical, emotional and spiritual change we will partner together to help your child understand their identity in Christ, promote spiritual growth and teach spiritual disciplines. Through parent seminars, family faith talks, and intentional events with your child we will open the door for you to navigate these changes with your preteens. For further information, contact Associate Student Ministries Pastor, Mike Heinz, at (972-852-4191).
Commitment to Purity: This milestone is designed to challenge students to live a godly life. For further information, contact Associate Student Ministries Pastor, Mike Heinz, at (972-852-4191).
Rite of Passage: This passage to Adulthood is about knowing who God is and what is to become the man or woman God has called you to be. Sixteen is a signifcant Milestone in the journey to adulthood, but it must be more than a driver's license, keys to the car and a later curfew! For further information, contact Student Ministries Pastor, Jeff Jones, at (972-852-4190).
Graduation: The graduation milestone serves to equip parents to prepare and launch their students for life after High School. For further information, contact Student Ministries Pastor, Jeff Jones, at (972-852-4190).
