Family Ministries
The Family Ministries Leadership Team seeks to direct the attention of homes upon the most important dynamic of life…a person’s relationship with Jesus Christ! 100 years from now the only thing that will matter is a person’s relationship with Christ. Our goal is to create vital partnerships between the home and the church in order to faithfully and effectively transfer the Gospel from generation to generation!
A few of the opportunities that exist at Fellowship Dallas to strengthen families are…
• KidLink (Children’s Ministry weekly parent resource)
• HomeFirst (Student Ministry weekly parent resource)
• Children's Ministry Family Groups (Fall and Spring – register online to join a new group)
• Student Ministry Family Groups (Fall and Spring – register online to join a new group)
• Parenting Point (a monthly seminar and discussion group experience for parents)
• ‘No Hungry Child’ Initiative (Family Service opportunity; feeds at-need school-aged children in Vickery Meadows)

FAMILY GROUPS
Family Groups are life-stage groups that provide a community context for families to grow spiritually, connect deeply and live missionally. these groups are designed to provide a blend of family integration as well as parent-exclusive opportunities.

Parenting Point: Empowering families to lead the next generation in a growing relationship with Jesus Christ! Parenting Point is a monthly gathering of parents (of children birth - 12th grade) in order to receive the tools and encouragement necessary to impact our children's lives in significant ways. Parenting Point will also allow parents the opportunity to build relationships with other parents at similar life stages. If you are a parent, you will not want to miss these exciting opportunities to be equipped and connected to other families! Check the church calendar for the next Parenting Point. For more information, please contact Thad Harris at , or by phone at 214-257-1534.
Family Events: During the course of the year Family Ministries hosts several events that are for the whole fellowship family! These events include: Family Picnic, Family Movie Night, and Hawaiian Falls. Check the calendar for times and dates of these events. For additional information please contact Kathleen Horn at or 214/257-1534.
Child Dedication: A child dedication is really a dedication of you as a parent. In dedicating your children you are saying that you commit to raise your children in such a way that they will know Christ, love Christ and grow in their relationship with Christ! You are committing to raise them in the Christian faith in order that they may become a part of the community of faith upon believing themselves! Click here to Register for the next Child Dedication. We can accomodate up to 12 families per dedication. For additional information, please contact Kathleen Horn at or 214/257-1534.
Baptism: We believe that baptism is a symbolic, public, visible demonstration of an invisible, inner work of God when a person is indwelt by the Holy Spirit at the point of conversion. For this reason, we only baptize children who have consciously placed their trust in Christ alone for salvation. Before a child can be baptized, we require each participant to complete an application, to arrange a meeting with the Children's Pastor and to attend a brief baptism orientation the week before the service. Click here to Register for the next Baptism. For additional information please contact Kathleen Horn at or 214/257-1534.
Kids-on-the-Go: A neighborhood block-party initiative designed to help families live out God’s mission in their very own front yard! The block-party allows a family to build relationships with other families in their neighborhood in a non-threatening environment. The goal of establishing relationships is to bless the community and demonstrate the brilliant light of God’s love and grace to others. Fellowship families host the block-parties on Sunday mornings from 10:30 to 12:15 in their front yard. The block-party consists of a petting zoo, bounce house, arts/crafts, face painting, snow-cones, nachos, sports and a family life skit. A team of volunteers from Fellowship partner with the host family to implement this missional initiative!
