Giving and Finances

“For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”
Matthew 6:21

“Remember this saying, 'A few seeds make a small harvest, but a lot of seeds make a big harvest.' Each of you must make up your own mind about how much to give. But don't feel sorry that you must give and don't feel that you are forced to give.  God loves people who love to give."
1 Corinthians 9:6-7

NEW! - Haiti Disaster Relief Fund

We’ve established a “Haiti Disaster Relief” fund to collect donations for Haiti relief efforts. Those who want to give to this fund can do so either by check payable to Fellowship Dallas (earmarked “Haiti Disaster Relief”) or by giving to this option on our website (Click Here to Give Online). The money collected will be used (a) in connection with our own efforts in Haiti, and/or (b) to support the relief work of one or more reputable Christian organizations doing proven and effective work in Haiti, such as Samaritan’s Purse (www.samaritanspurse.org). Contact Executive Pastor, Tommy Shelton, at if you have any questions.

We want to help you make giving a meaningful and regular part of your worship and relationship with God. We believe what the Bible teaches—that everything we have (money and possessions) and everything we are (gifts and talents) have been entrusted to us to manage according to His desires as expressed in scripture.

We Encourage…

  • Giving as an act of worship. Giving is an expression of our love for God and our devotion to Him.  It is born out of our free response to all He has done for us, not out of guilt or duty.
  • Regular percentage giving. We ask everyone to prayerfully decide on a percentage of their income they are willing to give to the church, and consistently give that amount throughout the year.
  • Creativity in giving. Being good managers of what God has entrusted to us doesn't just include giving money; we’re taught to give of our time, talents, and other treasures as well. We frequently receive non-monetary items of value.

You Can Expect Us To…

  • Manage the church's finances with integrity and professionalism. Daily financial activity is managed by our Finance Director. Monthly financial results are reviewed by our staff, Finance Committee and Elder Board. Our financial statements are audited annually by an independent accounting firm.
  • Provide you with quarterly updates on your giving, as well as your year-end charitable tax statement.
  • Make our annual budget available to you (see right-hand side bar on this page) and gladly make copies of our audited financial statements available to those who request them.

Ways To Give Financially...

  • Cash or Personal Checks.  Deposit these in the offering basket on Sunday mornings or mail them to our Finance Office at 9330 North Central Expressway, Dallas, TX 75231. For cash to be credited to your contribution record it must be contained in an envelope with your name and address written on the outside.
  • Online Giving:  Click the Give Online button at the top of this page.  On the page that follows, log in with your User Name and Password. If you have not created a Login, you will be prompted to after which you will receive your User Name and temporary Password by email.  Retrieve those, then return to the Give Online page and proceed as directed.  You may elect to have the funds automatically drawn from a bank account or charged to a debit or credit card.  Under any option you can give a one-time gift or set up a recurring automatic payment/charge.  You will also find a drop down box that allows you to direct your gift to the following options.  If you wish to give to more than one fund, you must make multiple entries.
    • Fellowship General Fund (our annual operating budget)
    • Fellowship Metro (our Young Adults ministry)
    • Building Fund (for remaining amounts due under GGFI pledges, improvements to the facility, capital expenditures, debt reduction, etc.)
    • Global & Local Partnerships (our missions and outreach ministries)
    • Love Fund (for our benevolence ministries)
    • Haiti Disaster Relief (for our relief efforts to help the Haiti earthquake victims)
  • Automatic Electronic Funds Transfer.  Complete and submit a printed copy of our EFT form (click here for EFT application). By doing so you authorize a predetermined amount to be automatically drawn from your bank account on a monthly or semi-monthly basis.  If you choose to complete a printed copy of the EFT form, you will need to attach a blank, voided check (not a deposit slip) and deliver these two items to the Finance Office.
  • Credit Card.  One-time and/or regular monthly or semi-monthly contributions can be charged to your Master Card or Visa accounts.  Make this transaction online as described above or complete a printed form authorizing the church to charge your credit card with the predetermined amount.  This form is also available from our Finance Office.  Note:  We do not encourage credit card contributions unless you are able to pay off the balance each month.
  • Stock and Other Assets.  This method includes appreciated stock and other creative means of giving such as land, estate gifts, designating the church as beneficiary under an insurance policy, trust or will.

Note:  All contributions received are deposited to the church’s General Fund unless otherwise noted. You may do so by indicating the desired destination fund on the "memo" line of the check.

Contact Information:  Our Finance Office is open Mon – Fri from 9:00 to 5:00 and is located on the 3rd floor of our facility. You may contact our Finance Director, Joan Curry, at 214-257-1526 or .
