Who are We?
Gary Brandenburg, Senior Pastor
Gary Brandenburg grew up in California and attended Oklahoma State University on a baseball scholarship. After receiving Most Valuable honors he was drafted by the Baltimore Orioles and played three seasons of professional baseball. Gary received his Master of Divinity degree at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Chicago and his Doctor of Ministry degree from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in Boston.
After a brief assignment as a youth pastor, Gary became a church planter in California for eight years, Senior Pastor at Grace Community Church in Tyler, Texas, for 14 years, and Senior Pastor at Fellowship Bible Church of Dallas since 2004.
As a board member of Mercy Ships, Gary has spoken all over the world in pastor’s conferences pursuing his desire to “influence the influencers.” He has also served on the Board of Directors for Pine Cove Christian Camps.
He has been married to Jana since 1977 and they have three children, Erin (married to Richard Kerry), Jordan, and Jessica and granddaughter Isabel.
Gabe Gilliam, Teaching Pastor
Gabe Gilliam grew up in Fort Worth and went off to college at Oklahoma Baptist University. At OBU, Gabe met and fell in love with his bride-to-be, and married her the summer after his college graduation. Gabe and Casey moved to Boston, and Gabe completed his Master of Divinity from Gordon-Conwell Seminary. Currently, Gabe is pursuing his Doctor of Ministry degree from Fuller Seminary in Pasadena, California.
Gabe’s primary passion in ministry has been the preaching of God’s Word. He has preached in churches in seven different countries, and many churches in the South and in New England. He truly believes the power of the spoken and incarnate Word’s ability to change lives for the Kingdom of God. Gabe served as an itinerant preacher in college, as a college minister while in seminary, and then a young adult pastor before coming to Fellowship Dallas as the Teaching Pastor and Campus Pastor.
Gabe loves serving at Fellowship Dallas and is looking forward to what God will do over the next ten years. In his free time, Gabe loves going on walks with his wife and getting wrapped around his daughter Halle’s little finger. With whatever time is left, Gabe manages to remain a rabid Mavericks fan (despite the imminent heartbreak that it brings) and he finds time to corral his ferocious dog Bauer.
Jason Jackson, Worship & Creative Arts Pastor
Jason Jackson has been Fellowship Bible Church Dallas’s Worship Pastor since September, 2009. Prior to joining us, he served in full-time ministry in Virginia Beach, Virginia and Nashville, Tennessee. His experience as Worship and Creative Arts Pastor for more than five years has proven to be a most valuable asset to his current position here in Dallas.
Jackson sang and led Worship as a touring artist more than ten years. The most recognized groups he led Praise Team and sang worship with included: Truth, Beth Moore Ministries, Gaither Homecoming and Karen Peck. Currently, when he finds the time he still travels with Priscilla Shirer Ministries.
In 2004, Pastor Jason was nominated for two Dove awards for ‘Song of the Year.’ Today, he and his beautiful wife, Leah, and their two precious boys, Jayden and Tristan reside in Richardson, Texas.
