Weddings at Fellowship
Congratulations! We are happy to make Fellowship Dallas available to you for your special occasion. We look forward to working with you!
- The Worship Center has a seating capacity of 1085. With lighting and other arrangements it can be made to feel more intimate for a smaller number. The center seats are moveable to create a large, central aisle, with center steps to the stage.
- The Chapel seats 220 in theater-style seats. It has a small stage and a warm, comfortable atmosphere. Center steps are available.
- Grace Place is an intimate living-room setting, and is available for very small weddings of 20 or less.
- Other creative settings include areas on both the first and second levels, particularly under the central skylight on the second level concourse, the north end of the second level concourse by the large windows, and the west-facing second level patio deck area.
Wedding Policies & Requirements
Commitment to the Church: At least one of the two people planning marriage must consider Fellowship Dallas their home church. If this is not the case special exceptions may be made with pastoral staff approval.
Pastoral Participation: A staff pastor, an elder, or someone approved by the Fellowship Dallas staff must conduct all weddings at Fellowship Dallas.
Pre-Marital Counseling: The couple planning marriage is encouraged to complete four or more pre-marital counseling appointments. These may be conducted with either the staff pastor performing the wedding, the church's counseling ministry, or with someone else experienced in pre-marital counseling. The pastor performing the wedding should determine the requirements for pre-marital counseling.
Facility Guidelines
Availability of Facilities: All dates should be reserved through the as soon as possible prior to the wedding and all arrangements made with the appropriate member of the church staff. Your wedding application and deposits must be received to reserve dates on the church calendar. Facilities are available on a first come first serve basis.
Decorations: Because of the constant use of the facilities and certain fire regulations, the following rules will apply:
- The person scheduling the wedding will be responsible for all their decorations and will need to have all decorations approved by the Facilities Coordinator.
- Flower containers, dripless candles, candle holders, table linens, etc., should be provided by the wedding party and removed immediately after the ceremony the same day. No items may remain in the church overnight.
- There can be no use of thumbtacks, nails, tape or any other marring of the woodwork, furniture, or walls.
- Church furniture and decorations are not to be moved. Please check with the Facilities Coordinator before removing church posters or literature containers from the walls. If anything is removed, it must be replaced immediately following the wedding.
- Candles are permissible at the front of the church provided some form of protective material is placed under the stands to catch drips. Dallas fire ordinances do not allow candles in the aisles unless protected by some type of glass chimney or other covering.
- The church does not own any candelabras for use at weddings.
- We would ask that you not move any of the equipment on stage. If this is necessary, please make prior arrangements with the Facilities Coordinator.
- We also ask that you not move any of the silt plants or trees. Again - if necessary, please make prior arrangements with the Facilities Coordinator.
Receptions: Reception rooms are available and may be reserved through the church office.
- The wedding party is responsible to provide food, dishes, soft drinks, coffee, decorative items, servers and clean-up crew. Please contact Erin Mullen at 214-739-3881 x186 for more information.
- The church has limited tables and chairs that may be used if available. No rental items may remain at the church overnight or after the reception is over.
- The area should be left in a clean condition.
- All details should be checked out with the Facilities Coordinator at the interview.
Special Restrictions:
- Alcoholic beverages cannot be served on church premises.
- Rice may not be thrown on the church property.
- Nothing may be thrown inside the church building.
- The use of confetti on church grounds is prohibited.
- The use of fireworks on church grounds is prohibited.
Wedding Application and Wedding Policies
Download the Wedding Application or Wedding Policies for Members or Wedding Policies for Non-Members. Please complete and return a Wedding Application to at the church office (214-739-3881) along with your deposit to reserve your date.
Security Deposit & Personal Property: A $250 security deposit is required with your reservation, and will be returned in full assuming no property damage occurs as a result of the wedding event or any associated activities.
- The person scheduling the wedding will be held liable for any damage to carpets, furniture or buildings.
- This deposit will be refunded and returned by mail following the wedding date assuming no damages are incurred. If some damages are incurred the person scheduling the wedding will be contacted.
- The church will not be responsible for the security of personal property of the wedding party or property rented by the wedding party from caterers, florists or other entities. Valuables should be secured during the wedding.
Music & Sound: All sound and lighting systems in the Worship Center, The Chapel, and throughout the facility must be operated by a Fellowship Dallas sound technician and can be coordinated with your application and reservations through the Facilities Coordinator.
