Baptism

Salvation & Baptism

What's the difference?

Salvation

God sent His perfect Son to live a sinless life, to die on the cross for our sins, and to defeat death by raising Himself from the dead. This is the work of God’s grace—to save and restore men and women created in His image, to give them spiritual life where there was only spiritual death. We believe that salvation is by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone.

Baptism

Baptism isn’t how we’re saved—it’s an outward expression of the salvation and life transformation made possible by Jesus. At Fellowship Dallas, we baptize by immersion because it illustrates a person’s union with Christ in His death and resurrection. It signifies that a former way of life has been put to death and that a new life is now made possible.

What's your next step?

Let's talk about it

Baptism is a celebration of new life in Christ, and at Fellowship Dallas we love celebrating it together as a church family! If you’re considering baptism, your next step is a one-hour baptism class where you’ll learn what baptism means and why it matters. After that, we gather for Baptism Sunday to celebrate your step of faith alongside others in our community.

Register for the next class below or reach out to
Garrett Hall (garretth@fellowshipdallas.org) with any additional questions.
